Trade test certificate (Section 13) or N6/T4 = as an
Instrument Technician:

Intimate
knowledge of metallurgical processes:
Knowledge of
PGM flotation plants control philosophy
Computer literate (Word and Excel)
Knowledge of
Rockwell RSLOGIX 5000 PLC, Micrologix 500 and FTView SCADA, will be an advantage
Knowledge of
ControlNet, DeviceNet and Industrial EtherNet setup and configuration:
Knowledge of
Allen-Bradley and WEG Variable Speed Drives, Allen-Bradley and WEG Soft Starters and Motor Protection devices setup and installation would be advantageous

Profibus and Profinet:

SIMATIC WinCC and Siemens S7:

At least
3 years related industry experience.

Valid certificate of fitness.

Our Client is looking for an Instrumentation Mechanician to support the Team with regards to maintenance, improving plant availability and controlling costs.

The incumbent will be responsible for the maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of measured variables
Maintain and upgrade existing plant instrumentation
Maintain, install and commission field instruments
Perform analytical tests on major installations
Ensure calibration documents/records are kept up to date
Ensures adherence to the company's Health and Safety Standards
Develop and implement control philosophy and automation
Tune control loops
