Duties and responsibilities
- General Human Resource Management maintenance of employee records and files
- Payroll administration including but not limited to ensuring timeous payment of salaries, payslip verification and checking, checking overtime accuracy and resolution in consultation with line manager and GM, capture leave on VIP, prepare employment contracts and complete all necessary supporting documentation, ensure accurate bank details uploaded to payroll system.
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Preparation and submission of creditors' reconciliations (ensure invoices follow sequence).
- Deal with queries from creditors and staff regarding payments.
- Forward remittance advices to suppliers after completion of payment run.
- Assist with balance sheet recons during the course of the month and the finalisation at monthend.
- Perform ad hoc duties as requested by Senior Management.
Desired experience and qualifications
- Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Finance or Payroll (Essential)
- VIP, Sage 300 experience (Essential)
- Microsoft Business Central / NAVision experience (Advantageous)
- Computer literacy
- MS Office
