Description
Requirements:
- Matric compulsory
- Valid Driver's License will be advantageous
- Must be able to work shifts
- Previous hospital porter/driver experience will be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
- Ability to cope well under pressure & follow instructions
- Ability to act calmly and quickly in emergencies
Key Outputs:
- To assist patients onto wheelchairs and escort the patient to the ward or Specialist consulting rooms
- Assisting patients with luggage, packages, etc
- To keep the porter area clean at all times
- Maintain and clean all wheelchairs and trollies
- To escort patients to their cars either on admission or discharge
- Delivering packages, letters, newspapers, flowers etc. To the various departments in the hospital
- Transporting of patients in beds, wheelchairs and trollies to the wards in the hospital
- Assist Trauma unit when required
- Deliver memos and all internal mail
- Report any problems to Reception Supervisor
- Deliver bed stats to different wards
- Driver duties
- Strictly adhering to all policies and procedures relating to this job description including those within the Company
- Ad hoc duties
