    Senior New Business Manager

    Business Unit: Discovery Central Services. This role will be responsible for originating and closing renewable energy wheeling contracts, leading the launch of a new market-first product offering to businesses in South Africa.

    About the Role

    The Senior New Business Manager will own and grow a new business segment for Discovery Green. The role will lead the B2B sales cycle with clients from origination to contract closing.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the launch of a new market-first product offering to the South African market.
    2. Own the B2B sales cycle with clients from origination to contract closing.
    3. Develop strong connections with C-suite stakeholders and other key contacts at clients.
    4. Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives and challenges to create opportunities for value creation.
    5. Demonstrate expertise with respect to the Discovery Green offering.

    Requirements:

    • At least 5+ years' experience in operations, client engagement, sales and technical marketing.
    • Ability to quickly learn highly technical elements of renewable energy offering.
    • Ability to effectively communicate highly technical product offering to business stakeholders.
    • Ability to successfully negotiate high-value B2B contracts.
    • Ability to convert B2B sales.
    • Ability to review and improve B2B sales processes.
