    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the financial health, profitability, liquidity, and leverage of companies through reviewing their financial statements. They will also be required to understand industry dynamics and market trends relevant to clients' businesses, ensuring accurate credit committee presentations and discussions.

    In addition, they will need to ensure that credit decisions adhere to the company's credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This involves making recommendations regarding credit limits, terms, and conditions for extending credit to corporate clients based on thorough analysis and due diligence.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of working knowledge of credit risk management within the commercial/corporate banking/financial services sector. A Post-graduate degree qualification will be a distinct advantage. Familiarity with the National Credit Act is essential, as is experience in credit analyst roles, particularly with high-net-worth clients.

    We require a Clean Credit/Criminal Record and a valid unendorsed Driver's License (Code 08) for this position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deal management and preparation, deal execution and presentation, post-deal implementation, and lastly overall input towards credit projects, personal development, and client visits.
    • Reviewing of financial statements to assess the company's financial health, profitability, liquidity, and leverage.
    • Understanding the industry dynamics and market trends relevant to the clients' business, adding value to credit committee presentations and discussions.
    • Ensuring that credit decisions adhere to the company's credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Making recommendations regarding credit limits, terms, and conditions for extending credit to corporate clients.
    • Conducting thorough due diligence on potential clients to assess their creditworthiness accurately.
    • Supporting legal approval and implementation of credit requirements.
