    Description

    Overview

    Responsible for overseeing employees and daily operations within the Manufacturing environment, while ensuring provision of excellent site services and utilities. Maintain strong relationships with internal customers and third-party suppliers. Oversee and manage the planning, integrity, compliance, and performance of people and plant assets. Ensure system of controls in the reliability and maintainability of equipment, financial and other processes.

    Qualifications

    BSc / B.Eng Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Civil engineering discipline
    Project Management Qualification will be an advantage

    Experience

    5 – 10 Years' Relevant Management experience within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
    3 – 5 Years' Management of site service experience e.g. Cranes, Scaffolding etc.
    3 – 5 Years' Contract/SLA Management Experience.
    3 – 5 Years' Facilities Management Experience.
    Maintenance Strategy Development & Implementation Experience
    Previous appointment as a GMR 2.7. will be an advantage

    Duties

    Human Relations:

    • Talent management

    • Skills Assessment and Skills development of team members

    SHERQ, Integrated Management System (IMS):

    • Maintaining of ISO systems used within the organisation.

    • Maintenance Quality Management System.

    • Ensure a Zero-harm environment.

    • Maintain SHEQ as per organisational goals.

    • Ensure Statutory compliance in relation to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

    • Develop and provide input to Risk Management Plans to mitigate risks that could adversely impact safety of personnel and plant operations.

    Responsibility for asset capability:

    • Optimisation of assets

    • Asset Life Cycle Decision Making

    • Manage Asset Reliability

    • Management of site-wide enabling services e.g. Scaffolding and cranes etc.

    Legal Compliance:

    • Review of statutory requirements and compliance for all department related to the legal register.

    • Application of applicable National and International standards

    • Manage technical records in accordance to internal and legal requirements.

    Financial Management and Controls:

    • Cost management and optimisation.

    • CAPEX & OPEX Budget development and motivation.

    • Maintenance and adherence to company financial controls.

    • Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost of assets

    Maintenance Strategy Development & Control:

    • Develop plant and equipment specific maintenance strategy

    • Develop and enhance asset capability and maintenance quality to improve attainment of production targets.

    • Develop systems, procedures, and processes to enable and improve reliability of plant and enhance compliance.

    • Align activities, roles, and responsibilities within a world class (manufacturing) environment by connecting processes, principles and practices required to achieve required efficiencies.

    • Assist with criticality review of spares parts.

    • Work with Project Engineering or external parties to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.

    • Develop plans to eliminate or reduce the losses through root cause analysis and facilitate the implementation of actions.

    • Manage contractors for applicable outsourced services

    • Develop and maintain equipment criticality database. Ensure alignment with Manufacturing risk profile.
