Collections Agent job description

  • Dealing with both Inbound & Outbound calls
  • Rehabilitate student accounts in an effective and professional manner
  • Responsible for contacting students to negotiate payment arrangements on the outstanding balance and attempting to collect the payments
  • Develop payment plans with students and negotiate settlements
  • Maintain accurate records of all student interactions on company systems
  • Conduct service calls to all students and ensure resolution to their queries
  • Attend to general collections inquiries and provide feedback within company SLA
  • To achieve Customer Satisfaction at all times
  • Act as a team player to achieve the Collections rate

Requirements:


  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Must have at least 2 years Collections experience in a call centre environment
  • Good command of English and an additional language
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Computer literacy; must be efficient, account management, collections systems
  • Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail
  • The drive to improve the collections rate
  • Available to work as per company schedule
