We are looking for aBookkeeper to join the finance team, company based in the New Germany area. This individual must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure and reporting to the financial accountant.
Ultimately, a successful Bookkeeper will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Please ensure a comprehensive CV is submitted ,has references and at least 2 years experience with the following responsibilities:
- Invoicing, quotes, proformas
- Reconciliation of cost of sales on excel
- Debtors &creditors
- Participate in internal audit processes when required
- Processing of invoices, journals etc
- Cashbooks
- Add payments to the bank
- Followup with queries
- Assisting at stock takes
- Ad hoc
Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 with accounting attach results (nonnegotiable)
- A qualification in finance will be an advantage
- 2 years minimum experience in a similar role
- Strong reconciliation skills in excel
- Pastel Evolution experience an advantage
- Computer literate (nonnegotiable)
- Deadline driven
- Excel experience (non negotiable)
- Be able to work under pressure
- Must be punctual
- Attention to detail
- Telephone etiquette
- Able to communicate within a team and other departments (solid written and verbal communication skills)
Working hours 7:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday), as well as working one Saturday a month 8am to 12pm.
