    Responsible for the systematic and methodical investigation, analysis and documentation of a business area in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use across applications. Responsible for impact analysis to identify all affected interfaces by new systems or change to existing systems. Identify and examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes.

    What you will love doing in this role

    IT Business Analysis:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across all levels and business areas to interpret business goals into specific IT requirements and deliverables and ensure optimal functionality of IT systems across the business.
  • Facilitate requirements for deliverables by planning, gathering information through interviews, requirements workshops, analysis, testing, implementation etc.
  • Analyse business needs and document requirements and translate needs into user stories, process diagrams and data flows.
  • Make recommendations for improvements based on industry trends and business growth requirements.
  • Document and maintain changes and system specifications and ensure accessibility as per required procedure.
  • Update on an ongoing basis so the focus in on ongoing feedback, per Agile processes.
  • Coordinate and communicate these needs clearly and effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and ensure that requirements are ready to go into sprints for the Scrum team, as per required timelines, planning and prioritization.
  • Support the day-to-day needs of Scrum teams in understanding customer and business requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure functionality matches business requirements.
  • Assist in drafting user and training documentation to ensure that staff are trained to use software.
  • Liaise with various industry partners around service integration and product offerings.

  • Requirements

    What you'll need to do this role

  • Bachelor's Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar field
  • Excellent knowledge in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
  • System analysis and design skills
  • Experience in working within an agile project environment, preferably in a Financial Services and/or Retail environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
