Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Para-Planner to join our Wealth Management team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our Financial Planners with technical financial planning analysis, client reviews, and comprehensive financial planning.

This includes drafting and sending client agendas, generating review reports, capturing meeting notes, and implementing action items. Additionally, the Para-Planner will be responsible for completing work requests, preparing written Records of Advice, and reviewing financial information on our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and send client agendas, generate review reports, capture meeting notes, and assign or implement action items through to completion
Complete work requests, including preparation of written Records of Advice, technical calculations, and technical advice for Wealth Managers/Financial Advisors as per company policies and procedures
Work closely with attorneys that draw up clients' wills and oversee Estate Administrators, maintaining an updated record of the estate status and reporting back to the Financial Advisor and client
Review and update financial information on our systems as necessary
Participate in the development of paraplanning policies and procedures

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification and preferably Post Grad diploma in Financial Planning
Regulatory examination RE1 or RE5 is advantageous
Certified Financial Planner CFP is advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
