    Job Description:

    The Operations Manager will drive operational excellence and strategic growth within the mining aftermarket sector. This role requires leveraging expert knowledge and exceptional relationships with stakeholders to deliver world-class service, enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve sustainable business outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop national business strategy for aftermarket activities in mining operations, collaborating with area managers.
    2. Supervise and manage staff to ensure operations are cost-effective.
    3. Facilitate inter-departmental communication.
    4. Allocate tasks and resources to efficiently run contracts.
    5. Manage machine maintenance according to customer MCOP.
    6. Maintain budgets and forecasts.
    7. Improve performance, mentor team members, recruit and supervise staff.
    8. Enhance customer service quality and implement best practices across all levels.
    9. Develop annual business plans for assigned customers.
    10. Maintain and increase customer share for assigned customers.
    11. Responsible for PSD campaigns relating to safety, warranty, and product improvement.
    12. Manage receivables for assigned customers.
    13. Develop and maintain a team of product support for underground customers nationally.
    14. Manage automation competency hub.
    15. Ensure Product Support manages customers based on a well-developed tactical matrix.
    16. Maintain good relationships with key individuals at customers.
    17. Apply business intelligence to stock holding decisions.

    Requirements:

    1. Possess good business acumen complemented with well-developed leadership skills.
    2. Take full ownership of areas of responsibility – drive issues to conclusion.
    3. Progressive thinking.
    4. Function well within a team environment, as a member and/or leader.
    5. Post-graduate qualification in business or ability to demonstrate successful management and growth of a business with sustainable profit levels.

    Educational Qualifications:

    1. Trade test is non-negotiable.
    2. BTech Advanced Diploma or Degree NQF level 7 advantageous.
