Introduction


Our FMCG manufacturing client, based in Durban South, is looking for an experienced Trade Tested Fitter & Turner to join their team.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform any mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and installation on factory equipment.
  • Quick response to breakdowns.
  • Adhere to safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the equipment start up, wellbeing and uptime.
  • Carry out FPS requirements on shop floor level, housekeeping and equipment cleaning.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated properly and safely.
  • Gearbox maintenance, adjustments, Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
  • Ability to do fault finding and work on your own.
  • Knowledge and replacement of bearings, chains and tensioners.
  • Knowledge of using basic workshop equipment, ie. Drilling machines, grinders, sanding machines etc.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric
  • Trade Tested Fitter and Turner
  • At least 2 years post trade maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Happy to work rotational standby.
