    Description

    Position Overview:

    The Electrical Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing electrical operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel and the public.
    • Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies and subcontractor risk assessments.
    • Prioritize safety by halting operations when necessary and addressing any safety issues proactively.
    • Engage in safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
    • Verify that all materials delivered to the site align with production requirements.
    • Identify additional work opportunities and communicate potential risks to the site team.
    • Report any project-related issues or risks to ensure the team is informed about project status and financial implications.
    • Adopt sustainable practices relevant to the role and seek opportunities for operational improvements.
    • Participate in daily meetings to discuss progress and upcoming tasks.
    • Communicate with contractors regarding site discussions and decisions.
    • Manage material requisitions effectively.
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on completed installation work.

    Location: Various sites across Africa

    Qualifications:

    • Equivalent qualifications to C&G 2367 or 2357 in Electrical Installation and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
    • Certification in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 18th Edition.

    Experience:

    • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate teams of contractors and staff.
    • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance, alongside proven planning and project management capabilities.
    • Prior experience in leading teams of electricians and managing electrical service delivery.
    • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations.
