Durban (LOBP):
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure smooth operation in order meet customers' requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner of the filling hall in order to achieve daily and monthly targets.
What You'll Have Done Before:
Baseline:
- NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering).
- 3 Years' Manufacturing and Filling Operations experience.
Advantageous:
- Operations Management Qualification.
- 5 Years' experience in filling and bulk product handling;
- Advanced computer skills;
- SAP ERP;
- Supervisory experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure daily production operational blending and Filling activities are performed effectively in accordance with the daily Production Plans and resources available;
- Ensure that all plant equipment is reliable and available;
- Monitor all operational activities ensuring strict adherence to work instructions and safe working procedures;
- Ensure that proper communications are in place between departments to perform various interdepartmental tasks;
- Ensure that all preventative Maintenance is performed to equipment to minimise downtime;
- Participate in plant efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives as per the plant's objectives;
- Monitor daily inventory movement towards the blend plant and conduct stock takes;
- Maintains strict adherence and compliance to health, safety, environment, quality and security standards;
- Ensure Right First-Time results are obtained during all production processes.
- Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen's HSEQ policies and ZeTo rules to ensure individual safety and that of others;
- Safeguard business operations and Engen's compliance to industrial requirements and security standards;
- Ensure that all plant equipment is reliable and available;
- Adhere to procedures, work instructions, blending matrix and safe working procedures;
- Participate in root cause analysis for section and other departments.
- Ensure proper communications between departments to perform various interdepartmental tasks;
- Communicates to management for nonachievement of daily targets vs planned production requirements.
