Main Purpose of the Job: The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all food service-related activities, encompassing daily operations management of the kitchen area, implementation of production processes, and management of food and labor costs. A comprehensive understanding of HACCP principles is also essential.

Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing daily operations of the assigned unit
• Implementation of the production process
• Managing food/labour costs
• Overall understanding of HACCP

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts
• Minimum 3 years of progressive/kitchen management experience
• Experience working within budget guidelines to deliver results
• High Volume, complex food service operations experience

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining
• Knowledge of South African and industry-specific laws
