Description
Supply Chain Manager required to optimise all inventory, including procurement, shipping & receiving process.

Monitor status of incoming shipments to ensure correct products are ordered & available to meet customer demands.


Main Duties and responsibilities:


Process and Procurement:

Proper, accurate control of inventory. Inventory accuracy standard is set at 99%

Weekly meetings with Central planning team to ensure correct products are being maintained and replenished according to the MRP system

Work with Central team to reduce UHS to under 30%

Bi-weekly ordering from international suppliers

Maintain SKU databases correctly, ensuring there are no duplications or errors with 100% accuracy

Evaluate the market trends of supply and demand for hi-runner products and update min/max with Central planning team accordingly

Efficient planning and procurement of products needed for promotions and busy season (Nov Mar) each year

Identify areas for improvements in the logistics system

Ensure that branches reach an agreed fill rate of stock

Organizing of warehouse in an orderly manner, ensuring that it is at all times kept clean and tidy

Maintain and update all processes in Stockroom and Logistics departments

Ensure all works instructions are updated as conditions in production departments change

Spend time on the floor to ensure processes are followed and jobs are delivered on time

Ensure company on time and quality KPIs are reached by managing effective procurement flow

Manage bottle-necks and reduce the occurrence of bottle-necks

Ensure consistent, efficient flow or work to all production departments at all times

Ensure weekly cycle counts are performed

Organize and structure problem solving


People Management
Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports

Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required

Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

Plan shifts of Stockroom and Logistics team to meet production requirements


Relationship management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process

Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time

Ensure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportation

Take responsibility for accuracy of labelling to ensure correct products reach correct customers at the correct time

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements
