    Responsibilities

    • Cost Estimation: Collaborate with senior Quantity Surveyors to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, incorporating data from architectural plans and market trends.
    • Materials Procurement: Analyze architectural plans to determine the quantity and costs of materials required, considering factors such as material specifications, labor costs, and delivery timelines.
    • Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating and analyzing contracts related to construction work, ensuring that terms and conditions align with company objectives.
    • Project Cost Management: Monitor changes in project scope or construction progress, updating budgets accordingly to ensure timely completion and optimal resource allocation.
    • Document Preparation: Prepare contracts, documents, and progress reports, maintaining accurate records of project milestones and expenditures.
    • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that construction work adheres to legal requirements and safety regulations, implementing measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
    • Budgeting: Establish budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials, ensuring alignment with company financial goals and objectives.
    • Liaison: Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers, facilitating communication and resolving issues promptly.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in cost estimation, contract negotiation, and project management.
    • Skills: Strong understanding of construction costs and contracts, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder engagements.
    • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, deeply organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
