    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a proactive and driven Academy Manager with a strong IT/Tech background to lead our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in managing training programs and people, with knowledge of various SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities). You will collaborate with teams across our subsidiaries to ensure the successful delivery of technical training and upskilling programs that align with industry needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring the smooth running of IT/Tech-focused training programs.
    • Develop, implement, and optimize training curricula in collaboration with subject matter experts and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with various SETAs to ensure alignment with accreditation requirements and leverage opportunities for funding and resources.
    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of trainers and administrative staff, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
    • Work closely with HR and departmental heads to identify training needs across subsidiaries and align academy offerings with business goals.
    • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, government bodies, and training institutions.
    • Monitor training outcomes, collect feedback, and continuously improve program delivery to meet participant needs.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly in relation to SETA requirements.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on training and people management within an IT/Tech environment.
    • Strong knowledge of SETA requirements, processes, and accreditation.
    • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple subsidiaries.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
