    Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    The role involves filtering all incoming requests on quote me, ensuring someone is responsible for each quotation, and turning every quote around in 24 hours (KPI). The administrative lead for the quote calculator will be owned by this position, as well as the addition of any rates or trips. Reconciliation with finance will ensure that GP/Day figures in the quote calculator are accurate.

    • Working with the BD Head to request further development on the quote calculator as required.
    • Controlling Streak to ensure it remains clean - no double entries or blank files.
    • Pushing KAMs for rating 4 & 5 star clients correctly.
    • Reporting weekly interactions on Streak.
    • Researching prospective and current projects in our operating regions.

    Information Gathering

    • Monitoring subscriptions to Mining IQ and similar platforms.
    • Monitoring tender opportunities via websites, newspapers, and other materials.
    • Gathering intel from Alistair Group employees on potential projects.
    • Adding leads to Streak and making first contact.
    • Handing over leads to relevant KAMs.
    • Formulating and presenting tender strategy to the BD Head for agreement.
    • Creating tender action plans and teams.
    • Providing templates and project managing the tender process.
    • Developing and owning the tender master.
    • Representing the Company at local networking events and attending client meetings as required.
    • Conducting market research to determine pricing for tenders, new products, and services based on cost, customer demand, and competitor pricing.
    • Analyzing pricing metrics, sales data, and profit margins to assess pricing strategy effectiveness.
    • Creating pricing documentation like proposals, discount schedules, and negotiated contracts.
    • Staying informed on industry trends, legislation, and competitor pricing to inform decisions.
    • Presenting pricing recommendations to HOD's and Directors with justification.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum of bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
    • International exposure.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivation, leadership, and innovation.
