Description

RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced
PRODUCTION MANAGER (RUBBER INDUSTRY) for a large concern, position based in the
Howick area, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Qualification is Production Management or Business Management or equivalent.

Industrial or Mechanical engineering qualification advantageous.

Previous rubber manufacturing experience.

5yrs+ previous working experience in a similar position.

Lead and coach the factory management team and employees.

Ensure a safe working environment.

Deliver quality products to spec and on time.

Physical overview and supervision of production on the shop floor.

Ensure that products are produced in accordance to specification and quality standards.

Production planning including stock controlling and transport management.

Management of budgets, investment planning and cost control within your department.

Monitoring and replenishing all Raw materials and compound within department.

Implement best practice to achieve improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.

Produce and ship on time while maintaining high quality product.

Inventory Management of raw material and finished goods stock in departments.

Possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Skilled in managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines.

Management of P& L for the department.

Supervise the product release process to ensure only passed products are dispatched.

Ensure that all production equipment and infrastructure needed for production are used according to work instructions and that maintenance in carried out on them timeously.
