    The purpose of this role is to provide new and existing clients with professional and relevant financial advice, planning, and products that meet their needs and requirements. You will undertake the procurement of sustainable business of high quality, in accordance with business targets set.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Growth and Development
      • You will be committed to marketing plans and targets set for growing and developing the business as outlined by the distribution strategy.
      • You will apply knowledge and understanding of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth within the defined market.
    2. Networking, Prospecting, and Leads Generation
      • You will engage in face-to-face interactions, social or business, to create business opportunities.
      • You will prospect for new clients through creative opportunities such as business/social networks, associations, or ad-hoc presentations.
      • You will strengthen existing relationships by increasing the current service.
      • You will use existing sources to establish opportunities across Sanlam businesses.
      • You will develop personalised client value propositions.
      • You will leverage social media for marketing purposes.
    3. Client Consultations and Sales
      • You will ensure all client interactions are compliant in terms of disclosures and advice given.
      • You will undertake comprehensive fact-finding with each client to lift needs and priorities. You will document these findings.
      • You will provide sound personal financial planning advice.
      • You will present financial solutions to the client in a professional and competent manner aligned to Treating Customers Fairly.
    4. Client Service
      • You will ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous, and professional.
      • You will strive for excellent, value-added service to clients.
      • You will initiate long-term client relationships and maintain a relational focus.
    5. Monitoring, Updating, and Reporting
      • You will document and present the number and profile of contacts, appointments, consultations.
      • You will update client details on records.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 qualification
    • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS)
