How you'll role


As the Partnerships & Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficient procurement practices that support the company's mission of transforming education in South Africa.

You have a passion for technology, a proactive mindset, adaptability, responsibility, and a sharp focus on procurement strategies. This role involves overseeing the full procurement cycle, from forecasting requirements to selecting cost-effective technologies and products.

Collaborating closely with the finance team and other departments, you will ensure optimal purchasing decisions, adherence to quality standards, and seamless integration of technology.


What you'll do

  • Lead the endtoend procurement process in collaboration with the finance team
  • Forecast procurement needs for expansion and maintenance, incorporating stock monitoring and appropriate buffer stock levels
  • Research and select suitable technologies and products for costeffective solutions
  • Cultivate strong relationships with procurement suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and efficient inventory management
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to develop procurement strategies and provide budget and resource assessments
  • Implement efficient procurement strategies through negotiation and securing favourable supplier terms

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement or supply chain management, with expertise in negotiating contracts, vendor management, and strategic sourcing
  • Excellent understanding of technology to drive strategic procurement decisions
  • Proficiency in finance, forecasting, stock monitoring, and budget management
  • Tech procurement and IT knowledge are advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, project management experience, and adaptability to technological advancements
  • Analytical skills for data evaluation and informed procurement decisionmaking
  • Negotiation skills for securing favourable terms and establishing strong supplier relationships
  • Strategic thinking to align procurement strategies with organisational objectives
  • Effective communication for collaboration, contract negotiation, and conveying complex information
  • Problemsolving abilities for addressing challenges in supplier management effectively
  • Leadership qualities to facilitate team collaboration and drive procurement process
