    Description
    1. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Foreman to carry out repairs and planned maintenance to all electrical equipment on site for our client in the Pietermaritzburg area.
    2. A key requirement for this role is an Electrical Trade Test and NTC6 in electrical engineering.
    3. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a supervisory role.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Carrying out electrical installations on new equipment on site.
    • Modifying and improving existing equipment to optimize capacity.
    • Ensuring legal compliance of all electrical installations and equipment.
    • Managing a team of electricians and assistants.
    • Diagnosing and repairing faulty machinery.
    • Fault finding and performing maintenance work on transformers.
    • Distributing equipment and materials to team members.
    • Ensuring team adherence to safety standards.
    • Coordinating and checking work carried out by the team.
    • Planning and coordinating daily work routines.
    • Effective management of overtime within budget.
    • Ordering and controlling critical spare parts.
    • Experience with PLCs and Variable Speed drives is essential.
    • Standby duties will also be required.
