Senior Associate (or Associate 2 or 3) - Equity Capital Markets

Our Client with over 150 years of experience and industry knowledge, is the leading full-service law firm on the
African continent.

They are looking for a Senior Associate (or Associate 2 or 3) in one of their
Corporate teams
. This person should have Corporate experience relating to mining, minerals, resources
, and ideally some environmental/ESG** experience.

Senior Associate (or Associate 2 or 3) - Equity Capital Markets
-
Sandton
- preparing mining law related opinions, including mining titles opinions;
- attending to registration of prospecting and mining rights, deeds of cession, amendment and abandonment at the Mineral and Petroleum Titles Registration Office;
- engaging with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy.
- preparation of mining related commercial agreements such as mine management agreements, contractor agreements, off-take agreements, mining property related experience would also be welcomed, for example, dealing with land claims, land use/lease agreements, disputes between landowners and rights holders and zoning.
