A luxurious 4* Hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join their special teamDUTIES
- Completes inspections and knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date and oversees all lost and found procedures.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective checkouts or discharges to prepare work assignments and Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
- Ensures guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk Department in a timely and efficient manner and works effectively with the Maintenance Department on guest room maintenance needs.
- Understands and complies with loss prevention policies and procedures and ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
- Ensures effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space and manages linen inventory and guest supplies and assists in the ordering of supplies as necessary.
- Oversee the Housekeeping Department by observing service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to employees; continuously strives to improve service performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum of 45 years working experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a Hotel.
- Hospitality Management qualification
- Exposure into linen count & stock controls
- Indepth hotel room cleaning knowledge
- Computer Literacy
