A luxurious 4* Hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join their special team


DUTIES

  • Completes inspections and knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date and oversees all lost and found procedures.
  • Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective checkouts or discharges to prepare work assignments and Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Ensures guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk Department in a timely and efficient manner and works effectively with the Maintenance Department on guest room maintenance needs.
  • Understands and complies with loss prevention policies and procedures and ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
  • Ensures effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space and manages linen inventory and guest supplies and assists in the ordering of supplies as necessary.
  • Oversee the Housekeeping Department by observing service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to employees; continuously strives to improve service performance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum of 45 years working experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a Hotel.
  • Hospitality Management qualification
  • Exposure into linen count & stock controls
  • Indepth hotel room cleaning knowledge
  • Computer Literacy
