    The Role

    This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Application Support Engineer to provide end-user support to a number of key clients. You will work with cloud payments software used by major international banks and retailers, ensuring 99.9% uptime. Additionally, you will assist in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting our rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure and leading-edge payments tech.

    You will apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve complex payments software problems.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support to Electrum's customers to resolve technical issues.
    • Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and architects to resolve production and support issues according to Electrum's standards.
    • Update the Wiki with relevant technical support documentation.
    • Experience with support ticketing systems such as FreshDesk.
    • Implement and adhere to Electrum's security measures.
    • Mentor junior and intermediate support engineers.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other relevant qualification.
    • 3-5 years of support experience/systems engineering experience.
    • 3 years experience in Software Development.
    • Strong Linux administration experience.
    • Excellent database knowledge and experience using MySQL (writing SQL scripts and/or Perl, Python, Shell).
    • Experience working with Java code.
    • Good networking skills: TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Firewall, VPN's.
    • Customer Support experience.
    • Experience using AWS.
    • Payments and SAAS experience.
