Job Description:


Scope of Work:

Full Communications function:
Crafting campaigns aligned to business strategy, internal events, newsletters, rewards programme, Wellness initiatives, speech writing & budget management. Research and writing of articles for the institutional client publication. To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice/s and to ensure operational implementation and adoption i.t.o. stakeholder management methodology, governance and delivery objectives.

Highly astute Communications Manager with deep experience working in challenging roles in matrix Financial Services organisations. Strong relationship builder comfortable working with c-suite.


Conceptual and analytical thinker who can see the bigger picture and translate organizational strategy into marketing and communications service delivery plans.

Passionate storyteller, experienced in creating and driving the development and maintenance of organizational engagement strategies to generate behavior change and high levels of commitment from staff.


  • Develop integrated communications strategies including social and external media in alignment with business strategy and oversee the implementation and measurement of internal campaigns

Origination Strategy:
Provide thought-leadership around the origination strategy alignment with the business strategy to ensure that the strategic intent of the business unit is realised through effective stakeholder synergies

Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Remain at the forefront of change within stakeholders by continuously engaging with these stakeholders

Communication and Events Management:
Together with the Absa Events, Marketing and Communications departments, plan and manage annual events, marketing & communication plans

Stakeholder Loyalty Initiatives:
Support stakeholder loyalty initiatives

Stakeholder Performance Management:
Manage and make recommendations about stakeholder performance and use the data to identify matters such as Peaks and Lows and use this information to investigate reasons for the anomalies and recommend mitigating actions to address these and further build on the successes in each channel environment

Customer Service:
work with managers to resolve all escalations of client queries and/or complaints within the agreed turnaround times

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Communication Studies and Language (required)
