About This Job
This job is for our Fresh Meat facility.

The Fresh Meat facility is an exclusive supplier to Woolworths in the Western Cape, where we produce & pack the finest Lamb & Beef.

The Fresh Meat facility is our biggest facility with a staff total of 320 people.


The Production Supervisor helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results and enforces company policies and guidelines whiles assisting workers by offering personal growth opportunities.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
  • Organize workflow and guarantee that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Receive complaints and resolve problems
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
  • Prepare and submit performance reports
  • Decide on reward and promotion based on performance
  • Hire and train new employees
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Perform audit checks to ensure sop adherence
  • Manage Meat Matrix blocks & recipes (Meat Matrix is a program we use; training will be provided)
  • Request feedback from Managers on deviations on blocks & recipes
  • Monitor Production variances daily
  • Create open blocks on Meat Matrix
  • Process blocks after production run
  • Do product recons of misaligned blocks & recipes

Skills Required:


  • Meat Factory Experience for a minimum of 8 years
  • Managed a team of people
  • Have basic food safety knowledge
  • Worked with beef & lamb
  • Blockman Skills
  • Understand blocks & yields
