We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities Management team at Thaba Eco Hotel.

In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

You will be responsible for conducting general maintenance tasks and repairs across various areas of the hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, and HVAC systems.
Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
Respond to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Install, repair, and maintain various equipment, appliances, and furniture.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and address maintenancerelated concerns.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations, following proper procedures and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Proven experience as a General Maintenance Worker or similar role, preferably in a hospitality or facilities management setting.
Knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and other maintenancerelated skills.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to identify and address safety hazards.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
Certification in relevant maintenance fields is a plus.
