Are you someone who has experience in:

  • Managing and controlling resources to provide efficient and cost-effective information systems delivery service to the business in the two major infrastructure delivery areas covered by this role.
  • Building out the DevSecOps capability / service
  • Experience in networking, development is key
  • Over 10 years experience in a Middle to Senior IT role
  • Must have IT infrastructure experience

You will be responsible for:

  • Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through Information system delivery technology solutions and IT Service strategy
  • Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
  • Manage IT Service Level Agreements by ensuring cost saving against Investment of delivery return.
  • Develop an IT service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations, and allows others to provide exceptional client service by developing an IT Service Model
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including endusers, SME's, solution architects, project managers and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements.
  • Ensure that client queries are dealt with proactively and accurately.
  • Take overall ownership of the DevSecOps and Compute delivery platforms (Server and Desktop virtualisation platform as well as the container platform), ensuring that the strategy, capacity management, financial (budgeting, cost recovery, etc), service delivery and people management disciplines are in place.
  • Build Out the DevSecOps capability / service, managing prioritisation, performance and delivery of resources directly employed in the area, as well as delivery of the vendors / contractors employed in that area.
  • Create a DevOps community which will bring all resources involved in DevSecOps functions in I&SS together in a virtual 'home' to ensure cross skilling, sharing or experience and learning, creating a repository for shared practices and templates as well drive standardisation, adoption of toolsets and efficiencies across the community.
