Stone company is seeking for a competent Machine Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) Bridge Saw machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.

A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and operate a 5
  • AXIS CNC Bridge Saw to perform tasks such as cutting, carving, drilling, and engraving.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, and drawings, etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of products.
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure the functionality.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have worked on a 4-5 axis machine
(Pre-requisite)

  • Must have qualifications
  • Willingness to learn, work hard, be flexible, be a team player, and have CNC operating skill. A metric or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in CAD /CAM


  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience using basic tools, show an understanding of how to set up and run CNC machines when it comes to tooling, placing material, running machines, takedown, and light maintenance.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification an added advantage
  • Previous CNC experience within the stone or glass industry
  • Need to be able to lift, push & pull up to 50kg.

Salary:
dependant on experience


Working hours:
Monday to Friday 07:30 -16:30 & Saturday 08:00- 13:00


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • 45 axis machine: 1 year (required)

Salary:
From R9,000.00 per month
