    Our client in the telecommunications industry seeks a Call Centre Supervisor for a limited 3-6 month contract with possible extension.

    Role Overview:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational service delivery, managing a team of up to 20 consultants across two desks (inbound and outbound), and ensuring adherence to performance standards and policies.

    • National Senior Certificate/Grade 12
    • Relevant degree or 3-year diploma, or equivalent experience
    • 5-8 years of experience as a Service Centre Team Leader
    • Knowledge of people management processes and performance evaluation procedures
    • Call centre technical and systems knowledge
    • Interlocking with internal and external stakeholders
    • Managing relationships with key clients
    • Maintaining a positive working environment and motivating team members
    • Coaching and managing the allocated team
    • Workforce management and planning to ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • Shift planning based on demand and capacity
    • Conducting performance reviews, identifying personal development needs, and implementing succession planning
    • Providing learning and coaching opportunities and taking corrective action when necessary
    • Ensuring staff understand and comply with all call centre objectives, performance standards, and policies
    • Training and onboarding new employees
    • Performing quality checks and executing remedial actions where applicable
    • Reviewing overtime claims and approving them in line with business requirements and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • Hosting daily stand-up meetings with team members to review calls, share learnings, identify trends, and adhere to process
    • Reviewing data quality and completeness of calls and activities performed by the team
    • Maintaining and achieving SLA targets to meet set benchmarks (e.g. call answer ratio, service level ratio, average hold time)
    • Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly on performance against SLA
    • Providing failover support to the outsource service team for business continuity purposes
    • Ongoing review and enhancement of procedures and systems according to client/organizational objectives within the Service Centre
    • Participating in designing the operational strategy and contributing to goals
    • Driving and implementing initiatives by identifying operational issues and suggesting possible improvements
    • Collaborating with other supervisors and managers to execute operational delivery
    • Preparing key management reports (analyzing, identifying trends, and proposing solutions)
