    Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Audit health records and implement corrective action as needed.
    • Ensure stock control and management are maintained.
    • Stay up-to-date with current research in the field.
    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice.
    • Contribute to holistic patient care.
    • Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
    • Promote patient health and wellbeing.
    • Practice infection prevention and Standard precautions.
    • Maintain good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors.
    • Execute procedures according to hospital standards.
    • Manage complaints from patients and doctors, and inform the unit manager of the complaint and action taken.
    • Carry out departmental duties as assigned by supervisors.
    • Provide evidence-based nursing care.
    • Ensure all patients have an appropriate nursing care plan.
    • Communicate with Health Care Practitioners regarding changes in health status.
    • Administer and store medication according to policy.
    • Perform other duties as reasonably requested.

    Requirements:

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area (preferable).
    • 2-3 years' experience in Cath Lab.

    Working Conditions:

    Blaauwberg, Cape Town

    This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment to working regular shifts, including evenings and weekends.
