Minimum Requirements:


  • National Diploma in Logistics Management
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Transport Management, Purchasing & Supplies or Business Administration.
  • Certificate in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
  • Valid driver's license with reliable own vehicle.
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office Suite, Sage Evolution, Mix Telematics.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal in Afrikaans and English.
  • Excellent FMCG product and service knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality control.
  • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation relating to the logistics management.
  • Basic knowledge of systembased vehicle tracking, monitoring and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management terminologies, methodologies, and approach.

Duties and responsibilities:


  • Planning and procurement of Raw Materials and transportation thereof.
  • Liaise with suppliers / Maintain Supplier Relationship / Price Negotiation / Setup of SLA agreements.
  • Manage raw material stock levels / Stock values.
  • Oversee the production planning to make sure it is in line with the customer orders and that the raw materials are available for production.


  • Vendor Management

  • Payments / SLA's / relationship.
  • Oversee the storage, picking and distribution of finished goods country wide.
  • Monitor the daily utilisation on fleet and report on fluctuations.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of turnaround time and ontime in full delivery.
  • Manage the 3rd party outbound logistics function and ensure desired stock levels are maintained.
  • Oversee and manage the Distribution Plan in line with customer service level agreement (SLA)
  • Manage fleet reliability in terms of vehicles being roadworthy and in line with SHEQ requirements.
  • Recommend logistics optimisation plans to improve service delivery.
  • Manage reverse logistics of short, dated products, expired stock as well as the empty pallets.
  • Oversee and monitor monthly invoicing and Purchase Orders for all Debtors and Creditors.
  • Attend to all truck drivers and vehicle fleet.
  • Real time tracking and monitoring of truck driver behaviour.
  • All customer requests and drivers must be adequately attended on time.
  • Monitor and confirm each outstanding Customer order is delivered by following Driver control Sheet.
  • Prepare and send an hourly update report on Driver behaviour and Customer Deliveries according to planning.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports of Vehicles in Fleet Management System.
  • Implement approved HSE policies and procedures, adherence to Road Safety Regulations.
  • Strict compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned.
