Description

This dynamic and growing flexible workspace business that provides entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners with flexible workspace solutions, is seeking an experienced, well-presented, outgoing, and friendly Events coordinator to join the team.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • To ensure the success of the buildup/compilation and execution of meetings, events, launches, conferences and more
  • To coordinate all arrangements for functions and events, from inquiries to site inspections as well as the planning of meetings and the upselling of facilities, creating unique, unforgettable wedding / other event days
  • Ensure the necessary setups, staffing, audiovisuals and any dietary requirements are arranged and executed
  • Be present to welcome delegates and ensure the functions and events run smoothly
  • Prepare proforma and final invoices and follow up on payments

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Matric
  • Hospitality / Events Diploma or Relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Own transport with a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Very well presented
  • Friendly with an outgoing personality
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Be willing to assist the GM with any other functions as required
  • Must reside in the surrounding suburbs of Cape Town

EXPERIENCE:


  • Strong organizational and time management skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Possess excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience required as a Banqueting/Events coordinator in 4/5 star hotel, business centre or cowork environment
  • Hospitality operations and coordination experience essential
  • Previous sales experience is highly advantageous
