Description
Daily plant checks per maintenance schedules and Ad Hoc, as instructed.

  • Perform overtime and breakdown or call out duties
  • Competent in repairing motors, control equipment and other electrical equipment
  • Record and capture all work done on job cards and planned maintenance schedules accurately with attention to detail
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report any and all defects which could not be resolved to Section Engineer or Engineering manager timeously
  • Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant as instructed.
  • Undertake installation and modification of equipment and plants as instructed
  • Undertake any reasonable request of the Electrical Section Engineer or Engineering Manager
  • Assist the electrical foreman with the efficient running of the electrical department

The following are minimum requirements to qualify for this post:

  • Diploma in Mechanical engineering
  • Trade Test
  • 5 years experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • Ability to faultfind and solve problems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic drawings, both
  • Schematic and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work accurately, neatly and efficiently
