Description
We are looking for a reservation consultant to join a growing travel company based in Edenvale, Johannesburg.


Your key job responsibilities will include:
Manage day-to-day booking enquiries
Process payments and issue tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents
Manage customer accounts and keep accurate records of all transactions
Communicate with operations and marketing team proactively about what you need from them to achieve your goals
Follow due reservations process and ensure accurate input of information
Work with suppliers to ensure smooth operations
To attend travel trade shows (if relevant) and other industry functions as necessary to continually research & develop products and relationships
Attend webinars, conferences and other educational tours
Suggest suitable travel/accommodation/flight options that best match clients' needs
Book tickets, reserve accommodation, organize rental transportation
Manage all financial aspects relating to booking procedure
Offer and promote different services and offerings
Handle clients'requests/emergencies while they are on tour


Note:


  • Must be a SA citizen or permanent resident
  • Must live within 15km of Edenvale
  • Must have your own vehicle or reliable transportation
  • Must have worked for at least 2 years dealing with online reservations booking systems or as a tour consultant

REQUIREMENTS:


Personal attributes required:

Proficiency in English; knowledge of an additional language ( especially French) is an advantage.
Detailed knowledge of destinations, products and suppliers in Southern Africa ( non negotiable) and Eastern Africa (advantage)
Possess effective organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work.
Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Support team members and management.
