    We are looking for a motivated and dedicated SAP CAR Functional Consultant who will provide user support and assistance for third-level incidents and resolving business-as-usual issues aligned to operations and service processes.

    Job Description

    • The Functional Consultant: CAR is responsible for design, build/configure, test, and deployment of SAP Point of Sale Data Transfer Audit functions and module solutions, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems.
    • The Functional Consultant: CAR is responsible for development, writing functional and test specifications, as well as training and test specifications/material, and coordinates changes and project transitions and transports to completion. This responsibility is applicable to all modules within the CAR environment.
    • The Functional Consultant: CAR is responsible for providing user support and assistance for third-level incidents and resolving business-as-usual issues aligned to operations and service processes.
    • Making recommendations to optimize SAP Point of Sale Data Management/Data Transfer Audit processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Adhering to all IT Governance Frameworks including policies, procedures, processes, and standards.
    • Identifying suitable solutions to new and existing business requirements (changes and projects) and ensuring effective resolution of problems and incidents.
    • Producing portfolio and status reporting in a timely manner and aligned to the agreed communications plan for all relevant stakeholders.
    • Updating and maintaining known error database, knowledge base, configuration database as well as testing and training material, and implementing a continuous improvement plan to improve the portfolio solutions.
    • Effectively managing and developing self to deliver on agreed individual and team objectives.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Three plus years of SAP design and configuration experience
    • Two plus years of Agile experience (e.g., sprint planning, stand-up)
    • Working with business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design
    • Documenting functional and technical specifications
    • Translating business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities
    • Experience in preparation of business cases, business process driving change, stakeholder management
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, financial acumen

    Competencies

    • Knowledge and experience of Retail SAP Architecture, implementation, and operations
    • Functional knowledge of SAP SD, POS, POSDM/POSDTA, and CAR modules including interfaces, data migration, and integration
    • Understanding of SAP CAR configuration in an SAP Retail environment
    • Understanding of configuration of SAP CAR Business transaction types: Sales, Financials, Totals, Inventory, and Reversals
    • Understanding of XML data structures for retail point of sale transaction data
    • Understanding of development concepts, guidelines, and SAP architecture
    • In-depth understanding of Application Link Enabling (ALE)/Intermediate Document (IDOC) processing
    • Knowledge and application of relevant IT best practices
    • Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL 3), Project management including methods and tools, retail industry models
    • MS Office proficiency with advanced excel and VISIO
