    Key Role Summary:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the CBU Sales and Distribution strategy, aligning regional strategies with business objectives, and managing channel economics linked to efficiencies. The role requires a deep understanding of segmented marketing, strategy, and business development, as well as analytical and basic financial competence.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Brand Representation: Be the face of the brand across all unbranded channels, ensuring a unified and compelling brand representation.
    • Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitor activity in the county and work with Marketing to develop and implement competitor activity plans to ensure the gap is closed.
    • Market Share Intelligence: Deliver and be responsible for market share intelligence, revenue, and net promoter score for unbranded channels.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly and monthly management reporting and analysis of unbranded channel and competitor landscape.
    • Sales Strategy Implementation: Operationalise the Sales, Business Development, People, Projects, and General Management strategies to maximise brand exposure and engagement.
    • Customer Experience: Drive seamless customer experiences, provide insight, and feedback about the customer journey and processes across all branded channels.
    • Channel Strategy: Implement the CBU and Channel Strategy, driving beyond mobile and relevant business objectives and customer experience in a county area as defined by Vodacom.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Campaign Management: Drive customer take-up of Vodacom products and services through effective proposition, campaign management, and sales initiatives.
    • Supplier Management: Manage suppliers and OEMs within the channels.
    • Stock Management: Collaborate on ensuring stock is managed (forecasting/stock deliverables/stock in trade and wastage) efficiencies.
    • Customer Issues: Analyse, resolve, and feedback on all regional customer issues.
    • New Business Partners: Identify and provide leads for new business partners.
    • Constant Improvement: Constantly monitor competitor activity in the trade and create plans to mitigate as necessary.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Matric – Essential, Degree/Diploma – Essential (A 3-year Business Management/Sales/Commercial Diploma/Degree or SAQA Accredited Equivalent).
    • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years' sales experience, Minimum of 2 years at Management level.
    • Core Competencies: Delivering Results, Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking, Leading and Supervising, Analysing, Creating and Innovating, Planning and Organising, Presentation Skills, MS Office.
