    FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (BEE)

    Qualification:

    B Compt or equivalent
    3 years practical experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
    Fluency in Afrikaans and English


    Role purpose:
    • Perform the financial function in support of the Financial Manager;
    • Provide accurate financial reporting ;
    • Manage financial performance deviations;
    • Adherence to corporate governance practises;
    • Compliance with statutory financial legalisation;
    • Implement improvement processes.
    Qualification:
    B Com Accounting (or equivalent)
    3 years practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
    Fluency in Afrikaans and English

    Duties:
    • Perform reporting of financial data against budgets and/or set targets;
    • Assist FM with root cause analysis, action plan compilation and tracking and controlling of all non-conformance in the prescribed format;
    • Compile month-end audit file including supporting documentation and ensure sign-off thereof;
    • Compliance to IFRS, statutory legislation and company policy and procedures;
    • Prepare reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts;
    • Reconcile all sub-ledgers to general ledger.;
    • Ensure that all general ledger journal entries are properly authorised, and posted to the correct GL account TIMEOUSLY;
    • Review and manage creditor accounts;
    • Daily and monthly Cashbook reconciliation with cash flow management;
    • Daily and monthly Petty cash reconciliations;
    • Perform weekly inter-company reconciliation and prepare monthly balancing confirmation;
    • Managing Fixed Assets Register, including preparation of capital expenditure documentation.
    Required skills:
    • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
    • Problem Solving, Numerical, Analytical and Computer skills with advanced Excel abilities;
    • Knowledge of Great Plains will be advantageous;
    • Good understanding of commercial and business awareness;
    • Negotiation and ability to influence and manage staff and external parties.
