    Description

    Product Category Manager

    Responsible for overseeing all aspects of product category management, including sourcing and bringing products to market, ensuring profitability, and achieving return on investment (ROI). Primary focus will be on Workwear and Footwear.

    The ideal candidate will work closely with Regional General Managers to align on product market fit and achieve forecasted unit sales. Key responsibilities include:

    • Successful launch of new products, increasing the ratio of sales of new products.
    • Achieve forecast unit sales and maintain margins in line with company policy.
    • Analyze markets to identify threats and opportunities.
    • Regularly conduct profitability analysis and make recommendations for product line/SKU addition or rationalization.
    • Negotiate with suppliers, build relationships, and design buying strategies.
    • Ensure excellent service levels by planning and buying managers and deal with escalated supplier queries.

    Additional responsibilities include building relationships with top customers, training on product-related topics, and driving awareness of products through various channels.

    To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

    • Grade 12 qualification.
    • Tertiary qualification or relevant Marketing degree/diploma.
    • 5-10 years experience in the PPE Industry or similar position.
    • Reasonable knowledge of all products and computer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook.

    Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
