INTERNAL & EXTERNAL

The role:


  • Provide advice, guidance and support to employees and line managers on a broad range of people related matters, HR issues including the execution of policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment, managing discipline and grievances, as well as resourcing
  • Maintain data for relevant area of responsibility and liaise with the HR Data Analyst on the operation
  • Facilitate and provide oversight for the handling of employee discipline for the specified area of responsibility, by ensuring that all grievances and disciplinary actions are acted upon according to policies, procedures and standards
  • Keep accurate and complete disciplinary records
  • Provide effective staff movement & recruitment services to line management through conducting recruitment activities aligned to the recruitment process:
  • Liaising with line mangers and Head Office
  • Conducting interviews
  • Prepare documents necessary for staff movements including promotions, transfer and secondments

You will need:


  • Diploma in Human Resources
    or occupationally directed ETD Practice in a similar field
  • 2 years' experience in Human Resource with a Degree
    or Diploma or 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience in relevant HR sub functions under consideration with basic knowledge of mining and other relevant legislation including: Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act; Mine Health and Safety Act; BBBEE Act, 2003; Minerals Codes of Good Practices; Mining Charter; Labour Relations Act, 1995; Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997; Employment Equity Act, 1998; Skills Development (and Levies) Act, 1998; Occupational Health and Safety Act, 199
  • Experience in recruitment and selection processes
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of HR theories and principles and benchmarks
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies and procedures and legislative requirements in terms of compliance
  • Conflict management skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Computer literacy: MS Office and SAP/SAGE
  • Valid driver's license
  • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous:


  • Degree/National Diploma or equivalent in Information Management/Human Resources Development/Industrial Psychology (NQF Level 7)
