Description
Set up electronic systems and devices

  • Book in faulty products using the book in system
  • Set up electronic systems and devices
  • Assemble and connect system components
  • Estimate damage and calculate the cost of materials
  • Test item functionality and analyze data
  • Repair malfunctions in shop items
  • Read and comprehend complex manuals and diagrams
  • Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, cell phone accessories
  • Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with electronics with all shop personnel and customers.
  • Assembles experimental items.
  • Test all new electronic products that arrive in store
  • Recommends changes specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance of stock.
  • Tests all apparatus on shop equipment.
  • Writes technical reports and developments
  • Check functionality of all electronic gadgets in the shop.
  • And any other duties assigned to you by the supervisors.
  • When items are booked in for repairs, analyze the fault/problem, contact customer, provide feedback and estimated time of completion on the repair
  • Once items are repaired, contact customer and give feedback and obtain time of collection.

Salary:
R1,00 - R2,00 per month


Education:


  • Certificate (preferred)

Experience:


  • Technician: 3 years (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Johannesburg South, Gauteng (required)
