Description
Project Training Lead

Must have SAP Retail and/or Finance experience.

Purpose:
To manage the development and implementation of training on a project.


Analyse Training Need:

  • Translate project scope into training scope
  • Determine training impact on value chain
  • Conduct Target Audience Analysis
  • Develop Training Needs Analysis
  • Develop high level training approach

Training Strategy and Approach:

  • Define the training blend
  • Determine enduser impact
  • Determine the detail approach
  • Determine training tools to be used
  • Determine methodology to be used
  • Determine appropriate solution based on analysis
  • Develop sustainability strategy
  • Liaise and align with L&D Department

Develop Training Plans:

  • Develop training development plan, milestones and timelines
  • Develop Resource plan
  • Develop training implementation/delivery plan, milestones and timelines
  • Develop Quality Assurance Plan
  • Determine training infrastructure requirements
  • Determine and confirm training supporting processes, i.e. Image, Setup of venues
  • Develop training schedule
  • Develop training logístical plan (venues, hardware, software, etc.)
  • Develop a Training Communication plan to be included in OCM plan
  • Integrate all training plans with Project plan

People management:

  • Recruit and onboard new training resources to the project
  • Develop and execute a 'fit for purpose' onboarding plan for all new project resources
  • Coach and performance management training resources

Vendor Management:

  • Manage tender and RFP activities
  • Manage vendor performance

Training Budget:

  • Compile training budget
  • Manage and update training budget
  • Manage attendance and invoices against budget

Project Management:

  • Manage and coordinate program training activities and communications
  • Manage timelines and deliverables against SOWs
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings and updates
  • Maintain and update all plans
  • Manage risks, issues and change, escalating to Project Manager if necessary
  • Develop contingency plans for various situations
  • Manage resources and approve timesheets
  • Develop and submit communications as per communication plan to the relevant team for distribution
  • Provide feedback on progress, budget, risks and issues
  • Assess training deliverables and resources and execute mitigating actions
  • Highlight and consult with L&D on sustainability of deliverables and resources

Handover:

  • Develop a Closeout report, indicating lessons learned and outstanding issues/risks
  • Develop a mitigation plan to address any outstanding issues
  • Ensure handover workshops with all stakeholders are done
  • Ensure all deliverables are handed over to BAU
  • Manage the upskilling of all BAU supporting resources, e.g. L&D, Call Centres

Formal Qualification
Relevant Business or Retail qualification
