    Embedded IoT and Development Engineer - Product Development

    Our client is a leader in the energy storage domain, with a focus on product development.

    This role involves executing and supporting technical tasks related to engineering, integration, test, and maintenance. It also covers designing and implementing future EMS, IoT, and data acquisition architecture and infrastructure, as well as BMAC and SMAC functionality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Fault finding and repair of PCBs, electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies.
    • Identifying new PCB components based on datasheets.
    • Assisting with procuring 'procured' and 'fabricated' items.
    • Providing technical support for projects and assisting with new designs.
    • Participating in project technical reviews.
    • Offering mentorship and technical guidance to other team members.
    • Making input into skills development/training and contributing to discipline-specific training where applicable.
    • Helping with the procurement, maintenance, and training of discipline-specific tools.
    • Designing and developing projects for Arduino, esp32, STM32, and Renesas Synergy microcontrollers, as well as other relevant IoT devices and Edge platforms.
    • Creating new Git repositories and linking local Git branches with remote Git branches.
    • Able to make adjustments to existing software projects.
    • Developing Energy Management System (EMS) architecture and algorithms.
    • Developing Battery Management System (BMS) architecture and algorithms.
    • Integrating and testing BlueNova batteries, BMS with different inverter brands.
    • Integrating and testing diesel generators, PV, and various sensors into battery and EMS systems.
    • Assisting in generating necessary engineering documentation related to work executed.
    • Supporting the Company's proposal/quotation generation process.
    • Assisting with budgeting for capital expenditure and expenses.
    • Assisting with creating Bill of Materials (BOMs) for products and updating when changes are implemented.

    Job Requirements:

    • A minimum of an MEng in Engineering.
    • Demonstrated prior learning based on industry experience.
    • Proficiency in engineering discipline-specific tools of trade, such as Altera, Aldec, CST, LT Spice, Matlab, SolidWorks.
    • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as Altium Designer.
    • Knowledge of design repositories, such as GIT, BitBucket.
    • IoT platform knowledge and experience.
    • Micro-grid control strategies, management, and operation.
    • MsOffice (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Scheduling, planning, and timekeeping tools, such as MsProject, PsNext.
    • Electronic test equipment, such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Power Meter.
