    Description

    As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of our spare parts shop, ensuring the smooth functioning of operations and providing technical support to customers and staff.

    Reporting to the Site Manager, your key responsibilities will include:


    • Supervising and leading a team of sales representatives and store staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
    • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of automotive spare parts, including components, systems, and compatibility with different vehicle models.
    • Providing technical assistance to customers, answering inquiries, and troubleshooting issues related to spare parts selection and installation.
    • Performing inspections and quality checks on incoming stock to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications.
    • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and tools used in the spare parts shop, coordinating with external service providers as needed.
    • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all mechanical activities, including handling and storage of hazardous materials.
    • Collaborating with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of spare parts and accessories.
    • Monitoring inventory levels and conducting stock audits to maintain accurate records and minimize stock discrepancies.
    • Contributing to the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity

    Experience and Skills:

    • Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail or automotive environment.
    • Strong mechanical background with experience in automotive repairs, maintenance, or servicing.
    • Extensive knowledge of automotive spare parts and accessories, including their functions, applications, and installation requirements.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all mechanical activities.
    • Proficiency in computer systems for inventory management and basic record-keeping

    Qualification:

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additional technical certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
