Description
Manage the Production Planner and ensure the duties are executed efficiently.

  • To monitor all bulk tanks on daily basis and order accordingly.
  • To create Purchase Orders for all Stock Purchases.
  • To facilitate iso/bladder movements with Sammar on all imported raw materials (NBP,PIB & ATH 680 local raw materials manually as well as on SAP.
  • Plan work, assign tasks and approve results.
  • Deal with Suppliers on local raw materials, negotiating prices and payment terms.
  • Receive all local and export production orders, checks stocks, and incorporate into production plan.
  • Planning of all Production orders with relevant production equipment and resources.
  • Generate weekly production plan including raw materials to be received
  • Coordinate Sales and operations meeting and ensure that weekly plan is followed.
  • Liaise with Business Managers with on forecasting issues, raw requirements and for packaging and other needs as requested.
  • Coordinate and plan loading of all export isotanks
  • Liaise with Warehouse on a weekly basis on Critical Raw Material levels
  • Assist, if required, to check recons and release payments
  • Handle/Assist with any stock queries other than stock counts
  • Do stock transfer of products between divisions
  • Generate stock adjustments to Ops Director for approval
  • Get staff involved in trouble shooting and problem solving.
  • Ensure that appropriate disciplinary actions are taken when personnel default.
  • Ensure that PJOs are done timeously.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Report and Investigate incidents and near misses.
  • Develop a Safety Culture
  • Attend all safety talks as well as doing SHE Inspections
  • Attend Managers Plant Walk about and highlight areas of concern.
  • Do yearly supplier assessments.
  • Purchase as per monthly requirements with a view of not overstocking/understocking.
  • Continuous focus on Cost Reduction within the department.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Degree or Diploma in Supply chain Management
  • Managerial or Supervisory experience in Purchasing and Production Planning
  • MRP
  • SAP
  • Computer literate.
