JD Specialized Recruitment_ have an exciting new opportunity for a
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER to join the team of an upmarket Safari Operation based in the Chobe - Zambezi Region

This position is Cape Town based.


Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as Chief Executive Office / Hotel GM / Safari Lodge or relevant Senior role.
  • Working experience in the Chobe / Namibia area is highly advantageous
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, Operations of a hotel or Safari business.
  • Qualified in Business Administration, Hotel management, or relevant field, MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Aptitude in decisionmaking and problemsolving.
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Act and direct relevant department to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing.)
  • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, finance, operations etc.)
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in setting annual financial targets and budget development and monitoring.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
