We urgently seeking for your sound experience to join a listed corporate company based in Rosebank Johannesburg.


The role of a Senior Legal Advisor is to provide reliable, accurate, timely and well-informed legal advice to the business on legal issues and the potential legal implications of various corporate strategies and business initiatives and projects.

This encompasses analysis of legal risks and providing the requisite legal assurance to the business on a whole. To be a trusted legal business partner.

Core skills and knowledge
Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, vetting and perusing commercial agreements including, but not limited to, leases,software agreements, service level agreements, outsourcing contracts, loan agreements, licensing agreements, procurement contracts, employment contracts (including independent contractors agreements) and security documentation;
  • Drafting relevant letters and documents required within the business;
  • Drafting, vetting and reviewing requisite resolutions, company documentation as it relates to our onboarding processes of suppliers and vendors;
  • Assessing, reviewing, vetting and drafting PR and Marketing materials in respect of websites, promotional material, etc to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Drafting basic legal documents for the document template environment
  • Assisting in driving and implementing the legal processes within the business through use of the Instruction Form, Risk & Signature Memorandum etc;
  • Overseeing customer, client and vendor contracts;
  • Providing commercially sensible and costeffective legal advice for the business;
  • Conducting legal research;
  • Ensuring compliance to applicable laws and regulations;
  • Providing arbitration, litigation and mediation support;
  • Managing litigation, disputes and the like.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Relevant Degree in Law
  • Experience 5+ years' experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Administration skills
  • Good team working abilities.
