Description
Our client is looking for a Procurement Supervisor to join their team.The role will be responsible for the overseeing the timely placements for all
supplier orders based on customer demand, POs and pre-negotiated pricing and
product range. The role will require expediting of supplier deliveries in
accordance with their required final dispatch dates.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the buying team in performing the buying, expediting, and payment processes.
- Create and maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Consider agreed customer KPIs when conducting buying function and reporting against these KPI's.
- Create and issue purchase orders within agreed KPI's where required.
- Supporting business partners in resolving invoice discrepancies to ensure correct payments are made to suppliers.
- Processing and maintaining supplier master information and pricing on procurement system.
- Review and analyse suppliers' performance.
- Maintain and communicate daily inbound delivery times.
- Maintain records of orders placed, including all relevant milestones to enable other functions.
- Ensure invoicing of stock is done so that prepayments are received from the client.
- Achieve system management targets.
- Achieve customer service targets.
- Ensure on time deliveries.
- Continuous improvement of buying processes.
- Coordinate and control the team.
- Ensure that the team interacts with clients as per defined client retention strategy and provide visible support and information in response to enquiries and queries.
- Lead the team through coaching, developing and motivating subordinates including followup of team and individual performance against targets and objectives aligned with overall company strategy.

- Cargo wise 1 preferable.
- Advanced Microsoft office knowledge.
- Be selfmotivated and work in a team.
- Supervise and lead the team as a good example.
- Assist with training new staff.
- Assist with upskilling of existing staff.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Management or Logistics or Supply Chain.
years' experience supervising a team.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Diploma (required)
Experience:
- procurement and buying: 3 years (required)
